Tecno Pop X 5G with 6.78″ LCD 120Hz Display, MediaTek Dimensity 6400 SoC and More Launched in India

The Chinese smartphone maker – Tecno has now introduced a new Pop series smartphone in the Indian market, dubbed the Tecno Pop X 5G. The official sale of the device is also set to begin later this week in the country.

Tecno Pop X 5G – Specs and Features

The latest Tecno Pop X 5G smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, and it runs on the HiOS 16 custom skin based on the Android 16 operating system. In terms of memory, the device is paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and offers a single 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage option. Additionally, the storage can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card.

For its display, a 6.78″ LCD panel is featured, and it offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1576 pixels along with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the camera side, the device sports a 13MP AI main camera at the rear, while an 8MP front-facing camera is given for selfies.

In terms of its battery, a 4500mAh battery is packed within the device, and it supports 45W wired fast charging. The device also features an IP64-rated body for dust and water resistance, and it is MIL-STD-810H certified for durability, offering protection against drops up to 1.5 meters. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner is also present on the device.

Other key specs include 5G SA/NSA connectivity with support for multiple bands (n1, n3, n5, n8, n28B, n38, n40, n41, n48, n77, and n78), dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, USB Type-C, 4×4 MIMO connectivity, and FreeLink Communication. The device measures 167.9 x 79.3 x 8.18mm in size and weighs about 210gm.

Notably, when compared with the Tecno Spark 50 5G smartphone, the specifications are largely identical, suggesting that the newly introduced model is essentially a rebranded version of the same device.

Pricing and Availability

Regarding the pricing, the Tecno Pop X 5G has been introduced in two memory variants. The 4GB/128GB model is priced at ₹15,999, while the 6GB/128GB variant carries a price tag of ₹17,999. The official sale of the device will begin on the 24th of April 2026 at 12PM IST via Amazon India.
