Tecno is preparing to launch the 5G variant of its Pop 9 smartphone in the Indian market. This follows the global release of the Pop 9 4G in August this year. The launch is scheduled for September 24th and will be available through Amazon India, where a microsite for the device is already live.
Tecno Pop 9 Specs Revealed
The Tecno Pop 9 5G features a 120Hz LCD screen and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. It will be available in multiple memory configurations, including 4GB RAM with either 64GB or 128GB of storage, and will also offer up to 4GB of additional virtual RAM. The device packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging.
The main camera is listed as a 48MP SONY AI sensor, which Tecno claims is the first in its segment to offer this specification. Additionally, the company states that it’s the first 5G phone in its segment to include NFC technology.
Other features include an IR blaster, dual speakers, and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Pricing and Availability
While the exact pricing hasn’t been revealed, Tecno has hinted at a price of X,499, suggesting it could fall under the Rs 10,000 price bracket, which would make it an attractive option. Additionally, the package includes two free skins, allowing users to further customise the back of the smartphone.
