Sharp AQUOS R11 Launched With Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, 240Hz Pro IGZO OLED Display, Triple Rear Cameras, and Android 16

In the Japanese market, Sharp’s latest AQUOS R11 smartphone has been unveiled, and the device will be made available for customers in the country in early July 2026.

Sharp AQUOS R11 – Specs and Features

The Sharp AQUOS R11 smartphone features a 6.5″ Pro IGZO OLED display which supports Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, 1Hz to 240Hz variable refresh rate, 1800nits full white brightness, and 3600nits peak brightness. It also comes with blue light reduction, Rich Color Technology Mobile image quality engine, Smart Outdoor View, and Virtual HDR support.

Under the hood, the device equips the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Mobile Platform, and it is coupled with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM + 12GB virtual RAM support and 256GB/512GB UFS 4.1 internal storage.

This newly launched handset comes with AQUOS UX version 16.0.001 out of the box and has been promised three OS version upgrades from the release date, along with five years of security updates.

For photography, the smartphone sports a triple rear camera setup. It includes a 50.3MP main camera (f/1.9 aperture, 23mm equivalent focal length, 1/1.55″ sensor, HEKTOR lens, EIS + OIS), a 50.3MP ultra-wide camera (f/2.2 aperture, 122-degree field of view, 13mm equivalent focal length, 1/2.55″ sensor, HEKTOR lens, EIS), and a 38.5MP telephoto camera (f/2.4 aperture, 68mm equivalent focal length, 1/2.88″ sensor, HEKTOR lens, EIS + OIS).

On the front, the device has a 50.3MP selfie camera (f/2.2 aperture, 23mm equivalent focal length, EIS). Additionally, the ProPix PRO image quality engine is also supported, along with Tracking Focus and palm-based capture. Other camera-related features include a 14-channel spectral sensor, Smart Fit Zoom, Shadow Removal, Showcase Mode, Keystone Correction, Reduced Blinking, PrivacySafe, Dolby Vision shooting, Auto HDR, Auto Macro, and Night Video.

On the battery side, the smartphone packs a 5100 mAh built-in battery, and it supports 36W charging. The device is said to take around 90 minutes to charge completely, and it also supports USB Power Delivery Revision 3.0 fast charging standard. Up to 3450 minutes of VoLTE talk time and up to 710 hours of LTE standby time are also claimed.

Coming to connectivity, the Sharp AQUOS R11 supports nanoSIM and eSIM with DSDV compatibility. 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, Dual Band GNSS, tethering support for up to 15 devices, and mobile payment support are also part of the device.

For audio, the device has stereo speakers with High-resolution audio, high-resolution wireless audio, Dolby Atmos, and 8-Way Audio.

Regarding durability, the Sharp AQUOS R11 is compliant with IPX5, IPX8, IPX9, IP6X, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and MIL-STD-810G standards.

Sharp AQUOS R11 – Pricing and Availability

The Sharp AQUOS R11 will be made available in the Japanese market via Sharp’s official online store, DoCoMo, and SoftBank in early July 2026 with a price tag of JPY 163,900 (~ INR96,663.50). Navy, Ivory, and Terracotta are its color choices.
