Samsung is already gearing up for its next Galaxy Unpacked event, scheduled for July 9th for both global and Indian audiences. However, ahead of the event, the company launched a new M series smartphone, the Galaxy M36 5G, along with the Galaxy Buds Core, in the Indian market today.

Specs and Features of Galaxy M36 5G

It comes with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ to handle minor drops and scratches.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Exynos 1380 processor built on a 5nm process. It runs Android 15 with One UI 7, and comes with support for microSD cards via a shared SIM slot.

The phone features a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. It supports video recording at up to 4K at 30fps. The front camera is 13MP and also supports 4K video capture.

New AI features include Circle to Search with Google, which lets users perform text, image, or music searches simply by circling on the screen. It also supports Google Gemini Live, allowing live visual Q&A interactions. Additionally, the AI Select tool helps users organise and create content more efficiently by tapping, selecting, and generating visual suggestions.

Audio is handled by stereo speakers, but there’s no 3.5mm headphone jack. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB Type-C 2.0 with OTG support. Positioning support includes GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, and QZSS, though the phone lacks NFC and FM radio.

The Galaxy M36 5G includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and other standard sensors. It packs a 5000mAh battery with 25W wired charging. The phone is available in three colour options: Orange Haze, Velvet Black, and Serene Green.

Specs and Features of Galaxy Buds Core

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Core are designed with a wingtip form factor that ensures a secure and comfortable fit during extended use. They are equipped with a single-driver audio system, delivering powerful bass and clear sound quality. Each earbud features a triple-microphone setup that enhances voice clarity by reducing background noise during calls. A notable addition is the Interpreter feature, powered by Galaxy AI, which enables real-time voice call transcriptions.

These earbuds support Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Ambient Sound mode, allowing users to switch between immersive and aware listening experiences. The Galaxy Buds Core also offers seamless connectivity across Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and laptops, automatically switching to the device in use.

With Bluetooth 5.4 support, they are compatible with AAC, SBC, and Samsung’s Scalable codec. The touch controls make it easy to manage playback and volume, while the tap-to-connect feature simplifies pairing with Galaxy devices.

Built for durability, the earbuds come with an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. In terms of battery life, the 65mAh earbuds and 500mAh charging case offer up to 35 hours of playback without ANC, and up to 20 hours with ANC enabled. The earbuds weigh just 5.3g each, while the compact case weighs 31.2g and charges via USB-C.
