Samsung Galaxy M15 5G, Galaxy A55 5G approved by the GCF, launch imminent

Samsung has just launched the Galaxy S24 series in different markets. Reports have revealed that the South Korean tech giant is now gearing up to launch a couple of A-series, F-series, and M-series smartphones. Upcoming phones, such as the Galaxy M15 5G, Galaxy F15 5G, Galaxy F55 5G, Galaxy M55 5G, and Galaxy A55 5G, have been consistently bagging different certifications. In a fresh development, the Galaxy M15 5G and Galaxy A55 5G have received certification from the Global Certification Forum (GCF), hinting at an imminent launch.

Recently, the Galaxy M15 5G was spotted with model numbers such as SM-M156B/DS in the database of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), indicating that it could be heading to India in the coming days.

As can be seen in the above screenshot, the Galaxy M15 5G bears the SM-M156B/DS model number, and the Galaxy A55 5G has the SM-A556B/DS model number. The GCF certification means that both devices are compatible and interoperable with various mobile networks globally.

Speculations have it that the Galaxy M15 will be a tweaked edition of the Dimensity 6100 Plus-powered Galaxy A15 5G, which went official in markets like India and the US.

The Galaxy A55 is expected to feature a 120Hz OLED display, an Exynos 1480 chipset, a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging, and more. Samsung is also said to be working on the Galaxy F55 5G, Galaxy M55, and Galaxy Y55 or C55 5G. These smartphones are likely to pack similar specs.
