Redmi Note 17 series officially introduced in global markets

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi yesterday unveiled its Redmi Note 17 series 5G in the global market. The series included Redmi Note 17 5G/4G, Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G models.

Redmi Note 17 series: Features

The entire series has received TÜV SÜD certification for long-lasting battery performance, while the Pro models arrive as the industry’s first devices to receive TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality Certification across battery performance, drop resistance, and water resistance.

Redmi Note 17 5G/4G

The smartphone sports a 6.99-inch LTPS OLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate, 1800 nits peak brightness, 960Hz PWM dimming and comes with Gorilla Glass 7i display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 SoC paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It runs on HyperOS 3, and the company has promised 4+6 years of software updates.

The device packs a 50MP main camera and a 16MP front camera. It is backed by a 7700 mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. Other features include: IP65 rating, IR Blaster, optical fingerprint sensor, Surge G1 chip, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5 and NFC support.

The company has also introduced a 4G variant of this device that arrives with similar specifications, but it is powered by the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 SoC.

Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G

It features a 6.83-inch LTPS OLED display that offers a 1.5K screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 3500 nits peak brightness, 3840Hz PWM Dimming, 3200Hz Instantaneous touch sampling rate, and the display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 SoC paired with LPDDR4X RAM and up to UFS 3.1 storage. It runs on HyperOS 3, and the company has promised 4+6 years of software updates.

The smartphone is backed by an 8340 mAh battery and supports 67W fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. It packs a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera on the rear side, and a 16MP front camera.

Other features include: Redmi Titan Structure, IP69K/69/68/66 rating, IR Blaster,  Wet Touch Technology 2.0, Optical fingerprint sensor, Surge G1 chip, AI features, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC support.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G is equipped with a 10,000 mAh Silicon-Carbon battery, backed by 100W HyperCharge and up to 27W wired reverse charging. It features a 6.83-inch display that offers up to 3500 nits peak brightness, 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and it is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC paired with LPDDR5X RAM and up to UFS 4.1 storage. It packs a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera on the rear side, while on the front it features a 32MP selfie camera. It runs on HyperOS 3 and the company has promised 4+6 years of software updates.

Other features: Redmi Titan Structure, IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K rating, Wet Touch Technology 2.0, IR Blaster, optical fingerprint sensor, Surge G2 chip, Surge P3 chip, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 6 and NFC.

Redmi Note 17 series: Availability

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max comes in Black, Green, Cloud Blush and Purple colours, and it arrives at a starting price of USD 499. The Redmi Note 17 Pro comes in Black, Sky Blue, Satin Orange and Purple colours, and it arrives at a starting price of USD 399. The Redmi Note 17 5G comes in Black, Sky Teal and Celestial Purple colours. The Redmi Note 17 model arrives at a starting price of USD 250.
