Redmi K90 Max confirmed to feature 8550 mAh battery and dual Xiaomi Surge T1+ signal enhancement chips; Redmi K Pad 2 teased to arrive with 15300mm2 ultra-large VC system

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has today teased new features of its upcoming Redmi K90 Max smartphone and Redmi K Pad 2 tablet via the Weibo platform.

The Redmi K90 Max smartphone is backed by a 8550 mAh battery that comes with 16% ultra-high silicon content. The device supports 100W wired fast charging, 22.5W wired reverse charging and 100W PPS. The motherboard is powered directly, so it doesn’t overheat while playing and charging.

The smartphone features two Xiaomi Surge T1+ signal enhancement chips and an independent gaming antenna array, optimised for landscape use, reducing obstructions for a more stable network connection and lowering game latency by 20% and 15% reduction in live broadcast jams.

Coming to the Redmi K Pad 2, the tablet is confirmed to arrive 15300mm2 ultra-large VC system. The 8.8-inch display offers 1100 nits of high brightness, 540Hz multi-finger touch, and a high-speed multi-touch reporting rate for responsive multi-finger operation. The direct power supply from the motherboard allows for charging while playing without overheating.

The tablet comes in Electric Purple, Space Silver and Deep Black colour options. It boasts a gyroscope with millions of touches and a 400Hz sampling rate for more sensitive aiming and recoil control. Dual 1620 large-size full-range drivers + a 2.0cc super-large sound cavity deliver full bass, clear treble and rich details.

The speaker is deeply tuned by Sound by Bose, with classic and balanced dual modes available, and refined tuning for gaming, movies, and short videos, ensuring excellent sound quality for all scenarios.

Redmi will unveil its Redmi K90 Max smartphone on 21st April, and alongside this device, the company will also introduce Redmi Book Pro 2026, Redmi K Pad 2 and Redmi Pad 2 SE.
