Redmi A7 Pro 4G and Redmi A7 4G with 6.9″/6.88″ 120Hz Display, Unisoc T7250 (12nm) SoC, 13MP AI Dual Rear Camera Announced in India

Following the launch of the Redmi A7 Pro 5G smartphone, Xiaomi has now introduced its 4G variant in the Indian market. Notably, alongside this, the brand has also launched the Redmi A7 4G smartphone as well.

Redmi A7 Pro 4G – Specs and Features

This device features a 6.9″ LCD HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) water drop notch display that supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and up to 240Hz touch sampling rate. It also comes with a sunlight mode offering up to 800 nits brightness (HBM), while typically it delivers 650 nits brightness and supports DC dimming. Additionally, the display carries triple TÜV Rheinland certifications including Low Blue Light (Software Solution), Circadian Friendly, and Flicker Free, making it eye-friendly. The display also supports Wet Touch 2.0, ensuring smooth responsiveness even with wet hands.

In terms of its design, the device measures 171.56mm x 79.47mm x 8.15mm and weighs around 208g. It also features an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance.

Under the hood, just like its global counterpart, it is powered by the Unisoc T7250 (12nm) chipset, paired with the Android 16-based HyperOS 3 custom skin. The brand promises up to 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patch updates. It is available in a single memory variant of 4GB LPDDR4X RAM along with an additional 4GB virtual RAM (Memory Fusion) and 64GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. There is also support for expandable storage via microSD card up to 2TB.

Regarding its battery, the device packs a 6300mAh battery with a claimed 1000 charge cycles, and it supports 15W wired fast charging along with 7.5W reverse wired charging.

On the camera side, it features a 13MP dual AI rear camera setup, which Xiaomi claims is tuned for Indian imagery, along with an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies.

Other key specs of the device include 2G/3G/4G/5G connectivity with dual SIM support, dual-band WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Galileo, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, AI face unlock, 3.5mm headphone jack, and 200% volume boost.

Most of the specifications between the two devices remain the same; however, the Redmi A7 4G brings a few differences. It features a slightly smaller 6.88″ HD+ (1640 x 720 pixels) display, while the rest of the display features remain similar.

It is powered by the same Unisoc T7250 (12nm) chipset, but runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2. Xiaomi has promised 2 major OS updates along with 4 years of security updates for this device.

In terms of battery, it packs a smaller 5200mAh battery, while still supporting 15W wired fast charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging. The device comes in a single memory option of 3GB RAM with an additional 3GB virtual RAM and 64GB internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card up to 2TB. Other specifications remain identical to the Pro variant.

Pricing and Availability

As mentioned, both devices are available in single memory configurations. The Redmi A7 Pro 4G is priced at ₹11,499 for the 4GB/64GB variant, while the Redmi A7 is priced at ₹10,499. The open sale for both devices will begin on the 24th of April 2026. Colour options given for the Redmi A7 Pro 4G are Black and Sunset orange, while for the Redmi A7 4G these are Black and Blue.
