Following recent rumours concerning the Realme 16x 5G, the brand has now officially confirmed that the smartphone will break cover in the Indian market on the 12th of August 2026 at 12 PM IST. Its Flipkart microsite has also gone live and revealed its key specifications and colour choices ahead of the launch.

Realme 16x 5G – India Launch Date and Specifications
As per the Flipkart microsite, the upcoming Realme 16x 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. It will offer up to 14GB of Dynamic RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.
The smartphone will feature a display supporting a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and a peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits. However, its display size and resolution have not yet been revealed.
Speaking about its cameras, the Realme 16x 5G will feature a 50MP AI rear camera. Details concerning its remaining rear camera sensors and front-facing camera are expected to be revealed at the launch.
Coming to its battery, the smartphone will pack a 7,000mAh battery and support 45W wired fast charging. Bypass charging and reverse charging support will also be offered. Realme claims that a 10-minute charge can provide up to three hours of Instagram usage under specified testing conditions.
For thermal management, the device will feature a 5,300mm² AirFlow vapour chamber cooling system, which is claimed to reduce the device’s temperature by up to 2.8°C. The smartphone will also support the brand’s GT Boost gaming feature.
The Realme 16x 5G will carry an IP65 rating for protection against dust and water splashes. It has also received a military-grade shock-resistance certification.
Realme is further promoting the smartphone with a five-year smooth-performance claim and a 60-month fluency guarantee. Its battery is claimed to offer a lifespan of up to six years with the help of the brand’s AI Long-Life Algorithm.
Regarding its colour choices, the upcoming smartphone will be offered in Blooming Brown and Blooming Silver.
