Powered by Helio G81 Ultra Processor, Honor X7e Makes Its Debut in the Malaysian Market

A new 4G handset has now been unveiled in the Malaysian market by the Chinese consumer tech maker – Honor, under its X series. The latest device has been introduced as the Honor X7e, and it comes with a large battery, MediaTek chipset, and a 50MP main camera.

Honor X7e – Specs and Features

Starting with its display, the newly unveiled Honor X7e features a 6.61″ TFT LCD display with a screen resolution of 1604 x 720 pixels, 16.7 million colours, and support for multi-touch gestures with up to 10 touch points. The display is also equipped with Eye Comfort and Dynamic Dimming features, while aluminosilicate glass has been used as the screen glass material.

Coming to its processor, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chipset, coupled with the ARM Mali G52 MC2 GPU. The octa-core processor consists of 2x Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.7GHz. On the software side, the device runs on the MagicOS 10.0 custom skin, based on the Android 16 operating system. It is offered with 6GB RAM, along with 6GB Honor RAM Turbo, and 256GB internal storage.

For its cameras, the Honor X7e has been given a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, along with an auxiliary lens at the rear. It supports up to 10x digital zoom, 1080P video shooting, rear flashlight, and camera modes such as Portrait, Time-lapse, Night, Video, Slow-Mo, High-Res, Panorama, PRO, and Photo. At the front, the device carries a 5MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and it also supports 1080P video shooting, Portrait mode, Photo, Video, and 2D Face Recognition.

Regarding its battery, the Honor X7e packs a 7,000mAh typical battery for the LAB-LX1 model, while the LAB-LX2 and LAB-LX3 models are listed with a 7,500mAh typical battery and 45W Fast Wired Charging support.It has also been given an IP64 rating for splash, water, and dust resistance.

Speaking more about its design, the smartphone measures 163.9 mm in height, 75.9 mm in width, and 8.29 mm in thickness. The LAB-LX1 model weighs around 204 grams, while the LAB-LX2 and LAB-LX3 models weigh around 207 grams, including the battery.

Other key specs include dual SIM support, 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with 2.4GHz and 5GHz support, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C, USB 2.0, OTG support, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo. It also comes with sensors such as a gravity sensor, fingerprint sensor, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. NFC support is available only on selected models.

Pricing and Availability

The Honor X7e has been priced at MYR 1,199, which is roughly Rs. 29,000. It is being made available in a single 6GB + 256GB storage option, and buyers will be able to pick the device in Midnight Black and Sunrise Orange colour choices.
