Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has recently teased the launch of the Redmi A7 Pro 4G in the Indian market, which is scheduled to debut on April 21st. Adding to this, Poco – also a sub-brand of Xiaomi – has now teased a new C series smartphone for India, which is believed to be a rebranded version of the Redmi A7 Pro 4G.

A New Poco C Series Device Teased for India
On the Flipkart microsite, a new Poco smartphone has been teased for the Indian market. While the exact moniker has not been officially revealed yet, the microsite confirms that the upcoming device will belong to the brand’s C series lineup.
Speaking more, the teaser features actor Akshay Kumar holding the smartphone, along with the tagline “Poco C Series All-rounder is coming”. The microsite also highlights the number of units sold by Poco under its C series portfolio.
While the official moniker has not yet been revealed, the device is expected to be the rumoured Poco C81 Pro 4G smartphone, which was recently spotted on Xiaomi’s global website, where its specifications were revealed before the listing was taken down. Additionally, it had also appeared on the UAE’s TDRA and Singapore’s IMDA certification platform with the model number “25128PC17G”, while the IMEI database revealed multiple region-wise variants, including ‘25128PC17G’ (global), ‘25128PC17L’ (Latin American), and ‘25128PC17I’ (Indian variant).
Out of the above, the model number ‘25128PC17G’ was earlier spotted on the IMEI database with a different moniker of Poco C81. So, whether the device will launch in India as the Poco C81 or Poco C81 Pro 4G is currently unknown. But the chances of it being Poco C81 Pro 4G are higher.
