POCO Pad C1 Officially Launches in Global Markets as a Rebranded Redmi Pad 2 9.7 with a Starting Price of $139

Previously, there was some confusion regarding the moniker of the next POCO tablet, whether it would arrive as the Poco C Pad or the POCO Pad C1. However, via the UAE’s TDRA certification database, it was earlier revealed to be the Poco Pad C1. Now, all the rumours have finally been put to rest as POCO has officially unveiled the tablet in global markets.

Poco Pad C1 – Specs and Features

Similar to the Redmi Pad 2 9.7, the Poco Pad C1 also features a 9.7″ 2K 120Hz Crystal-Clear display with triple TÜV Rheinland certifications, including Low Blue Light (Software Solution), Flicker Free, and Circadian Friendly certifications. The display supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate and up to a 180Hz touch sampling rate, while offering 500 nits typical brightness and up to 600 nits outdoor brightness mode.

Again, similar to the Redmi Pad 2 9.7, the tablet weighs 406gm, features an 84.7% screen-to-body ratio, and measures 7.4mm in thickness.

Powering the device is the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset based on the 4nm process. It is paired with up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage. The tablet also runs on HyperOS 3, based on the Android 16 operating system.

For optics, the rear panel houses a single 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture and 1.12μm pixel size, while the front side gets a 5MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture and 1.12μm pixel size. Both cameras support 1080p and 720p video recording at 30FPS.

Battery-wise, the device packs a 7600mAh battery with support for 18W wired fast charging. However, as per the official listing, the in-box charger only supports 15W charging speeds.

Other features include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, SBC/AAC/aptX audio codec support, IPv6, a 3.5mm headphone jack, virtual ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and Hall sensor support.

Pricing and Availability

The Poco Pad C1 has been introduced in two memory variants and as a Wi-Fi-only option. As part of the early bird offer, the 4GB + 64GB model is priced at $139, while the 6GB + 128GB model carries a price tag of $179. Buyers will also be able to choose between Blue and Gray colour options.
