POCO M8 Power 5G charging, display and chipset details teased ahead of launch in India

The POCO M8 Power 5G will make its debut in India on 4th August. The microsite for this device is already live on Flipkart, while the company has confirmed that the device will arrive with a massive 8,000 mAh battery.

POCO has now shared some more details of this upcoming smartphone via Flipkart.

POCO M8 Power 5G: New features revealed

The device is already confirmed to arrive with an 8,000 mAh battery that offers up to 3 days of battery life. The EV Grade battery comes with silicon carbon tech. Just 10 minutes of charging provides 8 hours of usage time.

The device provides 28 hours of nonstop video playback, 31 hours of endless social scrolling, 14 hours of uninterrupted gaming, 11 hours of continuous navigation, and 38 days of extended standby time.

It supports 45W fast charging (45W in-box charger) and 22.5W reverse charging. It comes with TUV Rheinland certification claiming retention of 80% battery capacity even after 5 years. The smartphone features a 6.9-inch AMOLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 1800 nits peak brightness, 960Hz PWM+ DC Dimming, 240Hz touch response rate, OTT-optimised tuning, 1200 nits HBM and adaptive color temperature. It boasts TUV Rheinland Certified Eye Protection Display, in-display fingerprint sensor and Wet Touch 2.0 support.

The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC that delivers next-gen AI capabilities and smooth gaming. The chipset is built with 4nm process technology. It comes with 630K+ AnTuTu score. It offers up to 16GB LPDDR4X RAM (8GB + 8GB virtual RAM) and UFS 2.2 storage. It features large 10,416mm2 graphite cooling area.
