The smartphone brand Oppo unveiled its Oppo Find X8 Ultra smartphone in China and global markets in April 2025. This device was praised due to its impressive camera capabilities, large battery and more.
To measure the performance of Oppo Find X8 Ultra in photo, video, and zoom quality from an end-user perspective, DXOMARK has put the device through its rigorous Camera test suite with the recently released updated protocol- Camera v6.

The smartphone features a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide camera, 50MP short tele camera and 50MP long tele camera.
During the testing, it was discovered that the smartphone delivers outstanding photo portrait mode performance by offering precise subject separation and a realistic bokeh effect. There is accurate exposure and effective HDR implementation in both photo and video, enhancing contrast across diverse lighting conditions. It was found that there is consistent natural and vibrant color rendering in both landscape and portrait scenarios, even under challenging conditions.
There was a high level of detail retention in both photo and video, with effective noise reduction, including in low light or complex scenarios. It provides reliable and precise autofocus performance, with strong motion-freezing capabilities for capturing decisive moments. The device showed outstanding zoom performance in both Photo and Video, maintaining high detail fidelity at medium and long range.
In the test result, it was also observed that there were occasional color instabilities in both photo and video, while it was also revealed that image artifacts, such as ghosting and fusion inconsistencies, can appear in highly challenging scenarios, particularly involving motion.
Though the smartphone is said to deliver a consistent and well-balanced overall camera experience.
