Reportedly, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo was said to launch a new device under its A series- Oppo A79 5G. For a month this upcoming device was spotted on various certification websites while its marketing material was also leaked online revealing it’s specs and design.

Oppo has finally launched Oppo A79 5G in the Indian market and the company has shared the official announcement via its X handle.

Oppo A79 5G: Pricing & Availability

The smartphone arrives with two color variants- Glowing Green and Mystery Black. It arrives with a single storage variant, 8GB+128GB which is priced at Rs.19,999. The device will be available for purchase from tomorrow via Oppo’s official website. The company is also offering up to Rs.2000 cashback on selected cards and No Cost EMI facility for up to 6 months.

Oppo A79 5G: Specifications

The smartphone sports a 6.72 inch LCD display that offers FHD+ screen resolution, 680 nits brightness, 180 Hz touch sampling rate, and 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor that is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It runs on ColorOS 13.1.

The device is backed by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 33W SUPERVOOC charging. It packs up a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50MP AI-powered main camera and a 2MP secondary camera. On the front, it features an 8MP selfie camera. Other features consist of dual stereo speakers, ultra volume mode, IPX4 rating, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
