OnePlus Ace 2 to feature Sony IMX890 camera with OIS support

OnePlus has been gradually revealing the key features of the OnePlus Ace 2, which is all set to debut in China on Feb. 7. Today, the company confirmed the details of the primary camera of the phone.

OnePlus revealed that the OnePlus Ace 2 will come equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 lens as the primary camera. It will support optical image stabilisation (OIS) and offer lossless computing in RAW images. Hence, the Ace 2 will be capable of capturing better RAW shots with natural colours and details.

The company is yet to reveal the details of the other cameras that will be available on the Ace 2. Rumours are rife that it will have a 16-megapixel camera on the front, and the main snapper on the back will be accompanied by a 12-megapixel or an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The OnePlus Ace 2 will be an affordable flagship phone powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. As per a recent leak, the device will come equipped with LPDDR5x RAM. It is speculated that the device will offer 18 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage.

The brand has also confirmed that the Ace 2 has a 5,000mAh battery with 100W charging support. On the front, the Ace 2 has a 6.74-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display with curved edges.
