OnePlus 16 confirmed to feature an 185Hz fourth-generation Oriental Screen and a 9000 mAh Glacier battery

The OnePlus 16 smartphone will be making its debut in the Chinese market on 12th October at 19:00 (local time). The company has already started teasing the features of this upcoming device.

Today, the brand has shared the display and battery features of this upcoming device.

OnePlus 16: Display and battery features revealed

The smartphone is the first to feature an 185Hz fourth-generation Oriental Screen. Its 1.15mm ultra-narrow bezels on all four sides create a more complete and pure display area. The fourth-generation Oriental Screen is the first to use X4 luminescent material and supports a global 165Hz refresh rate and a 185Hz refresh rate for gaming.

The display delivers an industry-leading “Dynamic Clarity” experience with an exclusive self-developed Super Display Chip P4, the global first “Ultra-Dynamic Clarity ” technology, new-generation Eye protection and a completely upgraded all-scenario Sunlight Display. The display has received the “Little Gold Label” eye protection certification.

The new LTPO ultra-high refresh rate circuit and the new X4 luminescent material make 165Hz operation more stable and the picture smoother. Through screen power consumption testing, the fourth-generation Oriental Screen’s global 165Hz is essentially on par with the previous generation’s 120Hz in terms of power consumption.

With industry-leading dynamic clarity capabilities and display optimisation at the same brightness, the fourth-generation Oriental Screen’s 165Hz achieves flicker-free, colour-accurate, stutter-free, heat-free and low-power performance.

The fourth-generation Oriental Screen, jointly developed by OnePlus and BOE, is the pinnacle of Chinese screen technology, achieving breakthroughs in three dimensions: transparent display, smooth motion and dynamic clarity.  The screen comes with the industry’s first “triple calibration” and industry-leading true hardware 1nit. The device features an in-display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

The OnePlus 16 debuts with a 9000 mAh Glacier battery. It also boasts a 5-year warranty for battery health and durability, ensuring a high-performance experience. The device is equipped with Oppo’s self-developed Glacier Battery Energy Concentration chip that delivers long-lasting and stable performance even at low battery levels.
