Motorola launches Moto G (2026) and Moto G Play (2026) with 6.7″ 120Hz display and MediaTek Dimensity 6300
Motorola has launched two new smartphones in the US and Canada, the Moto G (2026) and the Moto G Play (2026). Both phones feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz display with up to 1,000 nits peak brightness and are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset.
Pricing and Availability
In the United States, the new Moto G (2026) will be available universally unlocked starting 11 December on motorola.com (Best Buy + Amazon from 15 January) for $199.99. The Moto G Play (2026) will be available universally unlocked starting 13 November on motorola.com, BestBuy.com, and Amazon for $169.99. Both models will roll out across major carriers and prepaid brands, including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, UScellular, Xfinity Mobile, Google Fi Wireless, Visible, Walmart Family, Tracfone, Total Wireless, Straight Talk, Simple Mobile, Consumer Cellular, Optimum Mobile, and Cox Mobile, over the coming months.
In Canada, both the Moto G (2026) and Moto G Play (2026) will be available at motorola.ca starting on 11 December and 13 November, respectively, with additional carrier and retailer availability to follow.
Moto G (2026) and Moto G Play (2026) Specs and Features
Both smartphones feature a 6.7″ HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,000 nits peak brightness. Both phones run Android 16, come with 5G support, 4GB RAM with RAM Boost up to 12GB, 5,200mAh battery for up to two days of use, IP52 water resistance, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. Users also get Motorola Hello UX with Circle to Search, Moto Secure, Family Space, and gesture controls.
The Moto G (2026) offers 128GB internal storage, a 50MP + 2MP rear camera system, a 32MP selfie camera, 30W fast charging, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, available in Pantone Slipstream and Pantone Cattleya Orchid finishes. The Moto G Play (2026) offers 64GB internal storage, a 32MP main camera, an 8MP selfie camera, 18W charging, USB Type-C audio, and comes in Pantone Tapestry. Both models support AI-powered camera enhancements, microSD expansion up to 1TB, and include a USB-C cable, guides, and a SIM tool in the box.
