Motorola Edge 70 Fusion’s India launch date is set for March 6th, and as per earlier teasers posted on Flipkart, it is confirmed to come with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC. However, just ahead of its India launch, Motorola has launched it in the global markets, but with quite a few changes.
Here is more to it.
Motorola Edge 70 Fusion (Global) – Specs and Features
As per the press release shared by Motorola, the global variant comes with a 6.8” Extreme AMOLED display with 1.5K Super HD resolution and is claimed to be the world’s first smartphone to feature a 144Hz quad-curved display with Pantone Validated™ Colour. With a peak brightness of 5200 nits, the screen will even be visible in sunlight. The dual stereo speakers come with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support.
Under the hood, this is rather surprising because the global variant has been launched with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, while the Indian unit has been confirmed to come with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC. Furthermore, both are confirmed to come with Android 16 OS with 5 years of security patch updates. Even the battery size for the global variant has been reduced to a 5200mAh battery with 68W fast wired charging support, while the Indian unit is confirmed to come with a 7000mAh battery and the same 68W fast wired charging support. Motorola claims that you can get up to 12 hours of backup with just a 10 minutes charge from the 68W charger.
Camera-wise, it features a main 50MP Sony LYTIA™ 710 sensor with OIS, a secondary 13MP ultrawide + macro lens that offers a 122° field of view, and a dedicated 3-in-1 light sensor. At the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera with 4K recording and 4x the resolution of 1080p.
Other features include IP69 and IP68 protection, MIL-STD-810H certification, Corning® Gorilla® Glass 7i, Moto AI, and more. Connectivity-wise, it comes with Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, Wi-Fi 6E, and dual SIM support, which includes e-SIM.
Pricing and Availability
A total of 5 colour options have been launched; however, in the UK, it is available in PANTONE Country Air, PANTONE Sporting Green, PANTONE Orient Blue, and PANTONE Silhouette. Motorola is also offering a free Moto Buds Loop with the purchase of this smartphone and has priced it at £370.00 in the UK.
