Motorola has officially introduced its latest entertainment-focused tablet, the Moto Pad 70 Groove, in the Indian market, which is claimed to be the industry’s first 9-unit JBL Pro Speaker System on a tablet.

Moto Pad 70 Groove – Specifications and Features

The Moto Pad 70 Groove features a 12.1″ IPS LCD display with a 2.5K resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, support for 10-point multi-touch input, 600 nits of typical brightness and up to 800 nits under High Brightness Mode.

It further supports a 98% DCI-P3 colour gamut, HDR10, and Dolby Vision, and its display has also received TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free, Low Blue Light, and Full Care Display certifications for eye protection.

Under the hood, the tablet uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 octa-core chipset and is coupled with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Users can further expand the storage by up to 2TB using a microSD card. The tablet runs on the Android 16 operating system.

Speaking about its cameras, the Moto Pad 70 Groove sports a 13MP camera at the rear and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Coming to its main highlight, the device is equipped with a 9-unit JBL Pro Speaker System comprising four tweeters, three woofers, and two passive radiators. Dolby Atmos support is also present, along with Dynamic, Movie, and Music audio modes.

Users can also connect their smartphones and use the tablet as a wireless speaker via its dedicated Bluetooth Speaker Mode. Dual microphones are also offered on the tablet.

Another notable design feature is what Motorola calls the industry’s first 360-degree metal kickstand, which offers four viewing modes—Lean Mode, Theatre Mode, Stand Mode, and Hanging Mode—are supported.

Backed by a 10,200mAh battery, the Moto Pad 70 Groove supports up to 68W wired fast charging, and a compatible 68W charging adapter is included within the box.

The device features a metal body with an IP52-rated dust and water-resistant build and measures 278.8 × 181.1 × 6.8mm, while its thickness increases to 22.7mm around the speaker portion. The tablet weighs approximately 775gm and is offered in a single Pantone Blue Surf colour choice.

Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, a USB Type-C port, and a microSD card slot. It must be noted that this is a Wi-Fi-only tablet and does not support cellular connectivity or voice calling.

Pricing and Availability

The Moto Pad 70 Groove has been launched in a single 8GB/256GB memory option and Pantone Blue Surf colour choice. It is priced at INR 33,999, inclusive of the applicable offers and will go on sale in India starting from the 7th of August 2026 and will be available through Flipkart, the Motorola India website, and other leading retail stores across the country.
