LAVA has now announced that its new Virat Curve smartphone will launch in India later this month. Its microsite is also live on Flipkart, confirming the launch date along with some of its key specifications and design details.

LAVA Virat Curve – Specifications and Launch Details
As per the details shared on the microsite, this smartphone will feature a 6.67″ 3D curved AMOLED display screen with an FHD+ resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1100 nits of peak brightness. The display also supports 1.07 billion colours and a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, while offering a 93% screen-to-body ratio.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It will run on clean Android 16 and feature the Vayu AI assistant. The brand has also promised two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates for the device.
For photography, the LAVA Virat Curve features a 50MP Sony IMX752 primary camera, along with another rear camera housed inside a rectangular camera module. Two circular camera rings and an LED flash can also be seen at the rear, while a centred punch-hole selfie camera is present at the front.
Notably, the rear camera module also houses a mini display, which supports the LAVA logo, volume level, battery percentage, emojis, custom messages, time, app notifications, and music controls.
On the battery side, the smartphone packs a 6000mAh battery backup with support for 45W wired fast charging. Dual speakers and dual microphones have also been revealed for the device.
An IP64-rated body for dust and water resistance, along with MIL-STD-810H certification, is also being offered. Speaking of its design, the device features a vegan-leather rear finish and will be available in Heritage Indigo and Makrana Ivory colour options with the tagline ‘Two Expressions, One Signature’.
The rear camera module design appears to be similar to that of the Realme 16 Pro 5G smartphone. However, the LAVA Virat Curve additionally features a mini display inside its rectangular camera module.
Regarding the launch, the LAVA Virat Curve will make its debut in India on 21st September 2026 at 12 PM.
