Last year, Honor unveiled its Honor X9d 5G smartphone in the Malaysian market on 24th September, and this year the company will unveil its Honor X9e Pro 5G on the same date (24th September).

Honor X9e Pro 5G: Malaysia launch confirmed

The Honor X9e Pro 5G smartphone will launch in Malaysia on 24th September at 3 PM (local time).

The device will arrive in four colour options: Royal Purple, Reddish Brown, Dawn Gold and Midnight Black. The Purple and Reddish brown variants feature a leather rear panel. The device features a circular camera module that houses two camera sensors and an LED flash.

The camera module includes the branding of ‘AI VISION CAMERA’ and ‘MATRIX 108MP X SERIES.’ This confirms that the device will feature a 108MP rear camera. The teaser image suggests that the device will arrive with tough drop resistance.

The detailed specifications and Malaysian pricing of this device will be revealed next week by the company.

For now, let’s take a look at the specs of Honor X9d 5G

The Honor X9d 5G that has been introduced in Malaysia is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, and it is integrated with the Adreno 810 GPU. On the software side, it runs on the Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0 custom skin, and two storage options are available for the device: 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB. To note, with the 12GB Honor RAM Turbo feature, the total RAM can also be expanded to up to 24GB (12GB built-in + 12GB virtual).

For its display, an AMOLED panel with a screen size of 6.79″ has been featured. Moreover, the display supports 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, 1.07 billion colours, 2640 x 1200 pixels resolution, 800 nits (typical)/1800 nits (HBM)/6000 nits (APL type) brightness rate, and eye comfort technology (eye comfort/circadian night display/dynamic dimming/3840Hz ultra-high frequency). Also, the screen glass material used is aluminosilicate glass.

Coming to its cameras, a 108MP dual rear camera system is given, and it supports 4K video shooting, 10x digital zoom, OIS stabilisation, and 12000 x 9000 pixels image/3840 x 2160 pixels video resolution. There is also a 16MP front-facing camera on the device, and it is equipped within the centrally placed punch-hole camera unit on the display.

Regarding its battery specs, a massive 8300 mAh battery backup is packed inside the device, and it supports up to 66W wired fast charging. Additionally, a reverse wired charging feature is also supported on this smartphone device.

Its other key specs include 5G/4G/3G/2G network connectivity, WiFi 6 with 2.4GHz + 5GHz dual band support, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C 2.0, OTG, earjack (USB Type-C), GPS (and other location positioning services), NFC, stereo speakers, Honor Sound 7.3, IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K-rated dust and water protection, SGS drop-water-dust triple resistance certification, bulletproof-inspired shock-absorption framework, AI tools (AI Eraser, AI Cutout, AI Upscale), 7.76mm thickness, and 193gm weight.
