Honor X80 Pro Max 5G Launched With 6.8″ LTPS 10000 Nits AMOLED Display, Snapdragon 6-Series Chipset, and 11000mAh Battery

Honor has now officially unveiled the Honor X80 Pro Max 5G smartphone in its home market China as the successor to the Honor X70 Pro Max, which was also released in the Chinese market just a few days back. The newly introduced smartphone arrives as a durability and battery-focused device, and packs a massive 11000mAh battery, Snapdragon 6-series chipset, 10000 nits peak brightness display, 90W wired fast charging, 50MP rear camera, and multiple IP ratings.

The Honor X80 Pro Max 5G sports a 6.8″ LTPS AMOLED display that offers a 2788 × 1280 pixels resolution, DCI-P3 wide color gamut, 1.07 billion colors, 10000 nits HDR peak brightness, and 2000 nits global peak brightness. The display also supports HDR display, Ultra Dynamic Display, True Color Display, multi-touch with up to 10 touch points, and comes with aluminosilicate glass protection.

Speaking more, the display is also equipped with several eye-protection features such as AI dynamic defocus eye protection, AI sleep aid display, AI brightness adjustment, 3840Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming, natural light eye protection, hardware-level low blue light, ultra-dark mode, and motion sickness relief.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, paired with the Adreno 812 GPU. It runs on MagicOS 10.0 based on Android 16, and the brand also claims that the device can offer up to 6 years of smooth use without lag, along with Honor Hummingbird Architecture 2.0 system. The device is offered in 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 8GB + 512GB, and 12GB + 512GB storage options.

Honor X80 Pro Max - Specs

On the camera side, the Honor X80 Pro Max 5G features a 50MP rear camera with f/1.88 aperture and OIS optical image stabilization. The rear camera supports up to 4K video recording, 10x digital zoom, EIS support for 1080p 30fps and below, and camera modes like Night Mode, Portrait Mode, Pro Mode, HDR photography, high-resolution mode, slow motion, time-lapse, panorama, document scanning, AI photography, and more. For selfies, the device carries an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture, along with support for 2D face recognition.

It comes packed with a 11000mAh Honor Qinghai Lake battery, which is claimed to be the industry’s largest battery on a smartphone and can offer 26 hours of battery life and up to 42 days of ultra-long standby time.. Additionally, it supports 90W wired super-fast charging and 27W wired reverse fast charging.

Coming to durability, the Honor X80 Pro Max 5G comes with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings. The brand claims that the device can survive 10m deep waterproofing, 100,000 water immersions, 85°C high-temperature hot water spray, and 24-hour continuous salt-spray resistance.

Dual SIM support, 5G SA, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0, LE Audio, Auracast, NFC, infrared remote control, stereo speakers, HONOR Sound, Type-C audio, USB 2.0, OTG support, and multiple satellite positioning systems including BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and NavIC are its connectivity features.
