The HMD Vibe 2 5G smartphone will be launching next month in the Indian market via Flipkart.
The company has teased the front side of the device that features a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and slightly rounded corners. HMD is expected to soon start teasing the other key details of this upcoming device via its Flipkart microsite.
This device will arrive as the successor of the HMD Vibe 5G smartphone that made its debut last year in India. Since the HMD Vibe 5G arrived as a budget-friendly device (at Rs 8,999), the same could be expected for the HMD Vibe 2 5G smartphone. Let’s check out the specs of HMD Vibe 5G.
HMD Vibe 5G: Features
The HMD Vibe 5G features a 6.67-inch HD+ punch-hole IPS display with a 2.5D curved screen and a 90Hz refresh rate, delivering a resolution of 720 x 1604 pixels. It is powered by the Unisoc T760 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 4GB of virtual RAM extension. It comes with 128GB of internal storage, expandable up to 512GB via microSD card.
HMD Vibe 5G comes with a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50MP AI main camera and a 2MP depth camera, along with an LED flash and rear notification light. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera. For audio, it comes with dual speakers and a single microphone.
The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging over USB Type-C, offering talk time of up to 30 hours on 5G and 28 hours on 4G. Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and USB Type-C.
Running on Android 15, the HMD Vibe 5G delivers a clean, bloatware-free experience. HMD promises two years of quarterly security updates, though the device will not receive any OS upgrades and will remain on Android 15. Security features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock, along with standard sensors like accelerometer, ambient light, and proximity.
It supports dual nano SIM slots with 5G and 4G connectivity. In terms of size, the HMD Vibe 5G measures 165mm in height, 75.8mm in width, and 8.65mm in thickness, with a weight of 190 grams.
