HMD Global, in its latest offering, has now announced the HMD Vibe 2 5G smartphone in the Indian market, and the device comes with the built-in Indus AI chatbot developed by Bengaluru-based startup Sarvam AI.

The latest HMD Vibe 2 5G smartphone is powered by the Unisoc T8200 processor clocked at up to 2.3GHz, and it is integrated with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. On the software side, the device runs on the Android 16 operating system, and HMD has also promised two years of quarterly security updates for the smartphone. Two storage variants of 4GB/64GB and 4GB/128GB are offered for the device, along with support for expandable storage of up to 1TB via a microSD card.
For its display, a 6.745″ HD+ LCD display screen is featured on the device, supporting 720 × 1600 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 120Hz refresh rate.
On the camera side, the smartphone sports a 50MP main camera along with a secondary camera sensor and LED flash unit at the rear. For selfies, the device offers an 8MP front-facing camera.
In terms of battery, the smartphone packs a 6000mAh battery backup, supporting up to 18W wired fast charging, and the charger is also offered inside the retail box.
Other key specs include the 5G SA/NSA network, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C port, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm audio jack, bottom-ported speaker, IP64-rated dust and splash resistance, and dual SIM support. The device measures 168 × 77.7 × 8.6mm in size and weighs 210gm.
Coming to the pricing and availability details, the HMD Vibe 2 5G smartphone will be made available in the Indian market via Flipkart starting from May 26th at 12 PM. Three colour choices of Cosmic Lavender, Nordic Blue, and Peach Pink are also offered for the smartphone.
The 4GB/64GB storage variant has been priced at ₹10,999, while the 4GB/128GB storage variant carries a price tag of ₹11,999.
There is also a launch day offer for buyers, which includes a ₹1500 instant discount with select bank cards or a ₹1500 discount on UPI transactions. Customers will also be able to avail of up to three months no-cost EMI offers.
