Poco has announced plans to launch its first Pad in the Indian market on the 23rd of August. Typically, brands reveal small details daily to build up the hype, and most of the specs have already been listed on Flipkart’s microsite. As predicted, it has turned out to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Pad Pro 5G. I will discuss this further in the article below.
Poco Pad 5G Specs revealed
It features a similar 12.1″ display with a 120Hz adaptive sync refresh rate, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and 600 nits of brightness (HBM). For sound, it includes Dolby Suite (Vision + Atmos) with 4 speakers and 2 microphones, along with a 3.5mm audio jack. The device is 7.5mm thin, with an IP52-rated body and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
The microsite reveals two colour options: Cobalt Blue and Pistachio Green. A large 10,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support is expected to offer up to 17 hours of reading time and 16 hours of video playback.
Under the hood, the same Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip powers the device, just like in the Redmi Pad Pro 5G. It will also run Xiaomi HyperOS straight out of the box.
While the exact storage options haven’t been disclosed yet, it does mention up to 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, expandable up to 1.5TB, with support for WiFi 6.
