ASUS had stayed away from the conventional Android tablet segment for several years, however, the brand made its comeback with the introduction of the ASUS Pad T3201 in the global market last month in June 2026. Following its global debut, the company has now confirmed that the newly introduced tablet will also be making its way to the Indian market next month.

ASUS Pad T3201 – India Launch Confirmed
As per the details shared by the brand on the promo page, the ASUS Pad T3201 will break cover in the Indian market on August 6th, 2026, at 10 AM IST and will be available via Flipkart, ASUS India’s official eShop, ASUS and ROG Exclusive Stores, Reliance Digital, and other authorised ASUS retail partners across the country.
Since the tablet has already been unveiled for the global market, its specifications and features are already known. The details available on the ASUS India promotional page also point towards a similar specification sheet for the Indian variant.
ASUS Pad T3201 – Specifications and Features
The upcoming ASUS Pad T3201 features a 12.2″ dual-layer OLED touchscreen display that supports a 2.8K resolution of 2800 × 1840 pixels, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and up to 144Hz refresh rate. The panel also offers a 92% screen-to-body ratio, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.
Speaking more, the display offers a typical brightness of 600 nits and can reach up to 2,000 nits of HDR peak brightness. Dolby Vision HDR support has also been given, along with TÜV-certified Low Flicker and Low Blue Light protection for improved viewing comfort.

Under the hood, the ASUS Pad T3201 uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300 processor, and is paired with 8GB of onboard LPDDR5X RAM and 28GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The storage can further be etended to upto 1TB via miroSD card.
Moving on to its cameras, the ASUS Pad T3201 sports a 13MP primary rear camera with autofocus support. For selfies and video calls, a 5MP front-facing camera has been given. Facial recognition is also supported for unlocking the device.

Speaking of its battery, the tablet is backed by a large 9,000mAh typical-capacity lithium-polymer battery and supports 45W wired fast charging through the USB Type-C port. As claimed by the brand, it can charge from 0% to 50% in around 30 minutes. The device features a slim 6.5mm profile despite packing a large display and 9,000mAh battery.
This tablet comes equipped with a quad-speaker setup offering Dolby Atmos 360° cinematic sound and connectivity wise this tablet offers Wi-Fi 6E with a dual-band 2×2 configuration, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB 3.0 Type-C port.
The tablet runs on the Android 16 operating system out of the box and comes with ASUS’ GlideX software. The software allows users to easily share files and extend or mirror their tablet screen with compatible computers and other devices.
Also to add, support for the ASUS Pen 2.0 and newer compatible styluses has been offered, although it is not yet clear whether the stylus will be included inside the Indian retail box or sold separately.
It is currently listed in a Pure White colour choice.
Expected Pricing
Regarding its pricing, the ASUS India promotional page currently shows a figure of INR 62,990 (now removed), without mentioning which memory variant it is for. This currently listed INR 62,990 figure could be its maximum retail price or a placeholder value, while the actual launch price may be lower. However, this remains speculation at this time.
For comparison, the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro with the same MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, a 144Hz display, and 45W charging is currently available for around INR 35,980 through certain retailers.
