Sony has launched a new colour option for its already available WH-CH720N and WH-CH520 headphones in India. The WH-CH520, previously available in Blue, Beige, White, and Black, now comes in Pink as well. Similarly, the WH-CH720N, originally offered in Black, White, and Blue, also adds a Pink variant.
Since this is just a new colour addition, the specifications remain the same as those of the previously available colour options. Before I share the pricing details, let me first walk you through the specifications of both earphones.
Specs and Features of Sony WH-CH720N
It is an over-ear, closed-type wireless headphone that features a 30mm dynamic driver unit, DSEE support, and ambient sound mode. The headphones offer a frequency response of 7 Hz–20,000 Hz (JEITA) in active and wired modes, and 20 Hz–20,000 Hz over Bluetooth. With an impedance of 325 ohms (unit on) and 31 ohms (unit off), and sensitivities of 108 dB/mW (unit on) and 99 dB/mW (unit off), it provides high-quality audio performance. It includes a detachable 1.2m single-sided cord, gold-plated L-shaped stereo mini plug, and stereo mini jack input. Weighing approximately 192g, the WH-CH720N supports Bluetooth 5.2, SBC and AAC codecs, and SCMS-T content protection. Battery life is rated up to 35 hours with noise cancellation on and up to 50 hours with it off, with a charging time of around 3.5 hours via USB.
Specs and Features of Sony WH-CH520
Moving onto the WH-CH520, it features a 30mm driver unit, DSEE support, and a Bluetooth frequency response of 20 Hz–20,000 Hz (44.1 kHz sampling). The headphone weighs approximately 147g and comes with a USB cable in the box. It offers volume control but does not support passive operation or ambient sound mode. Powered by Bluetooth 5.2, it supports SBC and AAC audio formats, SCMS-T content protection, and has an effective range of 10 metres. The WH-CH520 delivers up to 40 hours of continuous communication time and up to 200 hours of standby time, with a USB Type-C charging time of about 3 hours.
Pricing and Availability
Sony’s new Pink colour variants for the WH-CH520 and WH-CH720N headphones are now available for purchase, with sales having begun on 24th April 2025. The WH-CH720N (Pink) is priced at ₹9,990, while the WH-CH520 (Pink) is available for ₹4,490. Customers can purchase these models through Sony retail stores (Sony Center and Sony Exclusive), the ShopatSC portal, and other authorised retailers across India.
