Moto Buds 2 Plus – Specs and Features
Similar to the global variant, the Moto Buds 2 Plus features 11mm + 6mm dual dynamic drivers, coupled with a Dual DAC (digital-to-analogue converter). It also comes with Sound by Bose technology and balanced armatures from Knowles, aimed at delivering improved clarity and precision. With support for Hi-Res Audio and the Low-Latency High-Definition Audio Codec (LHDC), along with 360-degree spatial sound, the earbuds are said to offer high-quality, distortion-free wireless audio.
For noise reduction, the earbuds feature up to 55dB of Dynamic ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). Furthermore, a total of six microphones (three on each earbud) with Environmental Noise Cancellation and a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) are also included. To further enhance noise cancellation, it also supports CrystalTalk AI, which can be enabled via the Moto Buds app for improved voice clarity using AI-based noise reduction.
In terms of battery life, the earbuds are claimed to offer up to 8 hours of playback on a single charge, which can be extended up to 40 hours with the charging case. Additionally, the brand claims that a quick 10-minute charge can provide up to 2 hours of playback. The Moto Buds 2 Plus also supports dual connectivity, allowing users to connect to two devices simultaneously and switch seamlessly between them. There is also an Audio Share feature, enabling two pairs of earbuds to connect to a single source device so two people can listen to the same audio.
Wear detection is also supported, which automatically pauses playback when the earbuds are removed. Other features include an IP54 rating, Bluetooth 6.0 support, and customisable preset controls. On compatible Motorola devices, users can activate Moto AI by pressing and holding the earbuds, along with gaining access to AI-powered translation features on select models.
