Audio-Technica launches AT-LP5X Turntable in the Indian Market, check pricing and features

Audio-Technica has launched its latest turntable, the AT-LP5X, in the Indian market. The AT-LP5X builds on over 60 years of Japanese audio design and engineering and targets audiophiles and vinyl enthusiasts.

As the successor to the AT-LP5, the AT-LP5X features the new AT-VM95E Dual Moving Magnet stereo cartridge, pre-mounted on an AT-HS6 head shell. Users can upgrade the stylus assembly within the VM95 range.

The AT-LP5X uses a quartz-locked DC servo direct drive motor with 33, 45, and 78 RPM speed capabilities. The 78 RPM speed requires the AT-VM95SP stylus, sold separately.

The turntable retains a J-shaped tonearm design, inspired by Audio-Technica’s models from the 1960s and 1970s. It includes a metallic gimbal suspension system and adjustable dynamic anti-skate control. A precision-machined aluminium platter supports smooth rotation.

It features a built-in switchable Moving Magnet and Moving Coil phono/line preamp, allowing connection to computers, home stereo systems, and powered speakers without a dedicated phono stage. The MM/MC cartridge selection allows for upgrades with compatible equipment.

The AT-LP5X has an external power supply to reduce signal chain noise. It also includes a USB output for digitising vinyl collections. A PC connection cable and a link to download Audacity software for converting records to digital formats are included.

The turntable is constructed with anti-vibration damping materials and internal inserts to reduce resonances. It comes in a matte black finish with a 5mm Audio-Technica heavy damping mat, dust cover, and RCA cable.

Pricing and Availability:

The AT-LP5X will be available at an MRP of ₹66,340 and an MOP of ₹65,990 on Amazon and through Audio-Technica’s distribution network in India.
