Wout van Aert wins stage 20 of Tour de France

Wout van Aert wins the stage 20 of the Tour de France, although, teammate Jonas Vingegaard retains the overall lead with one stage still remaining. Moreover, van Aert gave Vingegaard a friendly slap on the shoulder as he peddled his way from very close of the line.

The stage 20 is a 40.7 kilometer individual time from Lacapelle-Marival to Rocamadour.

Van Aert’s win is his third in the tour this year, and this is also Jumbo-Visma’s third in succession after Jonas Vingegaard’s win on Lourdes Hautacam on Thursday and Christophe Laporte at Cahors on Friday. To add to, Jumbo-Visma have netted no less than six stage wins so far in the 2022 Tour de France.

Also, van Aert was also among the favourites for victory, just like the last year.
