Virat Kohli Trolls Umpire During 2nd Test Between India and New Zealand at Wankhede; Video Goes Viral | WATCH

Due to some substandard umpiring during the second Test at Wankhede, India captain Virat Kohli could not contain himself and made an amusing remark. Kohli, who was stationed at the slips, offered to the umpire and requested that the umpire field. Kohli’s remarks were recorded by the stump microphone and have since gone viral.

What occurred was that Ross Taylor and wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha both missed a skiddy delivery, which went for a boundary. As he felt it came off the bat, the umpire signaled it as runs. Kohli made the remark because he was perplexed by the decision. The bowler, Axar Patel, couldn’t stop himself from laughing.

“Ye kya karte hain yaar ye log yaar, ye log yaar… What are these folks doing, main udhar aajata hai tum idhar aajao? Let me go there, and you come here),” probably referring to the umpires’ mistakes.

Kohli was also furious because, in the first essay, he was given out by the third umpire while on zero. Replays revealed that a bat was involved. The umpires have been under fire since that judgment.

India, on the other hand, requires five more wickets to win the match and the series. In the current World Test Championship cycle, these would be significant milestones for India.

Ravi Ashwin has been the top bowler for India, taking seven wickets in the match. On Day 4, he’d like to add to his total.
