NBA forward and sneakerhead P.J is wearing a pair of Off-White Jordan 5s with a special tribute to design legend Virgil Abloh for Monday night’s game.

Prior to taking the court against the Denver Nuggets, the Heat baller showed off the kicks, which feature phrases inscribed in Sharpie that read “Thanks for a lifetime of inspiration” and “Virgil will always be here.”

The gift comes just one day after Louis Vuitton announced the death of its artistic director, a tragedy that has impacted a slew of celebrities in sports and entertainment.

The day before Abloh’s death, Tucker posted a pair of Off-White Jordan 2s with the words “Air Tucker” and “Virgil 2021” on them.

Abloh was a popular figure in sports, with players such as Karl-Anthony Towns, LeBron James, Odell Beckham, and others speaking out about his tragic passing.

“Rest In Paradise LEGEND!!!” said LeBron on Sunday, adding, “Stunned…Rest In Power.”

Tucker is known for his large shoe collection, but the Off-Whites, and this pair, in particular, will undoubtedly have far greater significance in the future.
