What is this twitter’s blue tick and why Indians are angry with this blue tick; details inside

Now there has been a new controversy in town that Twitter has recently removed a blue tick from many of its Indian users. This has triggered a lot of anger amongst many users because one of the accounts that had removed the blue tick is India’s vice president’s personal account. However, it got reinstated again later that evening and twitter gave a reason that the account was dormant for the past six months. But this reason was not taken well by the Indian government.

Now the questions are about the blue tick of twitter, this blue tick is a source that shows a verified account on the twitters platform.

Recently the Government of India passed a new law in which the social media platforms were forced to keep their data if in case the government of India may need them at their discretion. This decision was not welcomed by the tech media giants like Facebook and Twitter.

Both Twitter and Facebook moved a petition against these new laws in the Delhi high court. However, both had to face it and the High Court quashed the petition of both tech giants.
