Now, what is a QR Code scam?
You don’t have to be tech-savvy for this if you receive an unknown call from a user posing as someone you know or trying to tell you that he wants to give you some unpaid bills money. BE ON ALERT at that time because that guy may be a scammer. In this scam, the scammer first tries to lure you by sending a QR Code to your Whatsapp number and asks you to scan it. First, it will credit some amount in your account but when he sends you again a QR Code this time it will be to withdraw money from your account. At this time your money will be transferred to the scammer’s account.
How to avoid this scam?
To avoid this scam its pretty much simple, NEVER ANSWER UNKNOWN REQUEST FOR MONEY BE IT MAY SOUND AS INTERESTING. NEVER SHARE YOUR DETAILS and that is it you are safe 🙂
