Top 5 cars that can run on hydrogen fuel

Electric Vehicles are one of the most energy efficient and clean for environment. Vehicles emitting less carbon dioxide has become one of most important need for humans. India also aims to reduce greenhouse gasses and carbon dioxide emissions by 45% by 2030. Another benefit of EVs is that we will be less dependent on fossil fuels as EVs are battery-powered and do not require petrol or diesel to initiate working of the vehicle.

But now, an another alternative called hydrogen fuel cell EVs are being introduced to India. Accordingly, the EV cars rapidly saw growing sales globally, however, the hydrogen cars are still somewhat overlooked. But, the hydrogen-powered cars are available for sale in the UK, very few people are presently buying it.

Accordingly, the usage of hydrogen fuel cell cars has been allowed to be uplifted in India by the Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Recently, he has launched the Hydrogen fuel cell powered Toyota Mirai to run a test pilot. Also, the Indian Oil is supporting the hydrogen fuel cell vehicles as hydrogen fuel’s raw materials can be produced locally. Indian Oil will soon be undertaking a Rs 300-crore demonstration project for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

Although a hydrogen fuel cell is said to be a clean fuel, but it does need hydrogen to function. Hydrogen might be the most plenty available material on earth, but extracting it is difficult.

However, Hydrogen Fuel Cell will provide various benefits to the users and can be a good alternative source of fuel energy. Hydrogen fuel vehicles are considered as one of the most energy efficient vehicles. It emits zero carbon and can be quickly refueled. It also reduces greenhouse gas emissions and can be used for a long range of drive. In India, the Hydrogen Fuel Cell cars are been launched. Here is the list of some of them:
