Wayne Rooney slams Kylian Mbappe

Former England captain and ex Manchester United forward, Wayne Rooney, one of the greats of the game has come out and has taken a dig at Frenchman Kylian Mbappe. Although, Mbappe is a great asset to the national side and club Paris Saint-Germain.

However, In PSG’s win over Montepellier, Mbappe was caught giving a shove with his shoulder to teammate Lionel Messi, without having any regard of the Argentine on the football pitch.

The broadcasters caught the moment between the two and was also seen that Messi was also displeasured at Mbappe’s antics, although, he did not revert anything back.

The video has went viral on social media.

In context to the incident, Rooney has slammed the young gun and has said that at the age of 22 (Mbappe’s age), Messi had clinched four Ballon d’ Or trophies, which is the highest honour in football.

“A 22-23 year old player throwing a shoulder at Messi… I have never seen a bigger ego than this in my life. Someone remind Mbappe that at 22 years old, Messi had four Ballon d’Ors,” Rooney told Depar Sports.

Furthermore, in the time of GOAT players like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Mbappe has not won any Ballon d’Or’s, but he is on the verge of becoming one of the biggest stars in the world of football in coming time.
