Real Madrid seal the win and claim 14th UCL title

The Real Madrid have become the champions for a record-extending 14th time after beating Liverpool 1 – 0 in a Champions League final that had started 37 minutes late because of crowd issues outside the Stade de France on Saturday.

The win is Carlo Ancelotti fourth record European Cup title. While Madrid completed a Champions League – La Liga double, Liverpool finished a season which gave them so much.

The game was nothing short of Thibaut Courtois, the Belgian showed the importance of having a top – class goalkeeper as he produced a string of crucial saves to deny Jurgen Klopp’s side and help Madrid with a 1 – 0 win that allowed them to get their hands on the 14th title.

Now, Liverpool have denied both the Premier League and Champions League titles at the final hurdle, they leave by winning the Carabao Cup and FA Cup this season despite still chasing a historic Quadruple as recently as last week.
