Neymar getting in the groove, just before World Cup kicks off

Neymar, who has been an integral part of PSG for almost 6 years now, was going an extra edge with his efforts in the match against Monaco. This is an extremely great news for the Brazil team ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The Brazilian looks fitter, slimmer and faster than ever he has been in recent years, earlier on the player was facing a lot of fitness injuries. Moreover, a lot of questions were raised over his lifestyle choices, and dragged down by persistent foot injuries.

Since joining the French club for a world record of then $263 million in 2017, Neymar has appeared in only 92 league games from a possible 190, which is a remarkably low 48%.

Furthermore, Neymar’s attitude has changed to the extent that he even acted as a peacemaker late on against Monaco when several players were heating up with each other. His penalty against Monaco, is now his eighth goal in five games.

“He’s the one who brings the balance up front,” PSG coach Christophe Galtier said of Neymar. It seems like now, at the age of 30, the Brazilian is at its peak.

Now ahead of the World Cup, its a positive for Brazil to have their main man in form, also, Neymar can possibly become Brazil’s highest goal scorer by surpassing the great Pele, who has 77 and Neymar has 74 at the moment.
