CR7 arrives at Manchester United Training ground

Portuguese captain Cristiano Ronaldo has arrived at Manchester United’s training base along with his agent. The former Real Madrid player is set to hold talks with the new boss Erik ten Hag.

Ronaldo is set to kick off his pre-season training with Manchester United, he missed out the tour’s of Thailand and Australia. Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes were pictured in the car while entering the training base.

Former United head coach and the reason for Ronaldo’s establishment at Old Trafford, Sir Alex Ferguson was also seen arriving at the Carrington Training ground. Moreover, Ferguson played a crucial role in persuading Ronaldo to return back to the Red Devils last year.

According to reports, Cristiano wants to play for another team as Manchester United are  out of the Champions League this season, United finished at sixth position last year in the Premier League.

The club has reported that Ronaldo did not return back to training due to “personal reasons”. But, ten Hag is counting on the forward to be a part of the teams squad.

Anthony Martial was the main replacement for the Portugal captain in his absence, the club will square off against Atletico Madrid on July 30 in a friendly match.
