South Korean Hockey Hero Cho Min-ho passes away at 35 after battling Cancer.
Cho Min-ho claimed first-ever goal for the country’s Olympic team in 2018.
The International Ice Hockey Federation confirmed Cho Min-Ho’s passing in a statement on Wednesday.
Additionally, it mentioned that the player died at Seoul Hospital after he battled Lung Cancer for eight months.
IIHF officials says, ‘The Korean ice hockey family will remember him not only as a great player, but also as a great human and leader on and off the ice’.
Cho Min-ho started playing for South Korean Hockey team in 2008.
After which, Cho Min-ho gained huge attention during the PyeongChang Olympics.
He also scored which made him the first ever Korean player to hit the back of the net in Olympic men’s ice hockey history.
Moreover, he completed 11 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship tournaments.
Additionally, he was named as team captain for South Korean national team at the Final Olympic Qualification for the 2022 Olympics in 2021.
