Shehzada, starring Kartik Aryan and Kriti Sanon, left many fans disappointed as it saw hardly any growth on Day 2, February 18.
Shehzada, directed by Rohit Dhawan, is a remake of the 2020 Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo starring Allu Arjun in the lead role. The movie marks a second collaboration between Kartik and Kriti after Luka Chuppi. It also stars Paresh Rawal, Ronit Roy, Sunny Hinduja and Manisha Koirala.
However, the film only managed to make around Rs. 12 crore till now. After making Rs. 6 crores on the first day, while the film is holding steady in the cinemas, it has seen barely any growth.
This latest movie of Kartik Aryan hasn’t managed to beat the opening collection of his last film Bhool Bhulaiya.
In fact, Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#Shehzada disappoints on Day 1, despite buy-one-get-one-free offer… National chains ordinary, mass circuits dull… #MahaShivratri holiday on Day 2 may improve biz, but needs bigger jumps for a respectable weekend total… Fri ₹ 6 cr [+/-]. #India biz.”
