The Yogi Adityanath-led government in Uttar Pradesh along with the state police jointly have taken yet another concrete step against users using the internet to watch porn and similar obscene content. Further, the authorities have come up with a scheme to discourage such activities in the state; Under the scheme details of any individual who searches porn online will reach the police through an SMS.
How does this scheme work?
Whenever an individual search for any pornographic or obscene content, the police will be notified by receiving a message on the number 1090. During a press conference, UP ADG Neera Rawat stated that with the help of the new and advanced technology, this step is initiated to change the mentality of the people which is indirectly linked to reducing crime against women in the state.The scheme will be unfolded in a proper sequence.
