Recently, Mahindra introduced the BE 6 SPORTEQ in India, bringing the sporty character and technology leadership that define the BE 6. Deliveries for this model began yesterday in the country.

Mahindra BE 6 SPORTEQ
It is offered across 8 variants: One, Two, Three, Three+, Four, FE, FE Four and Launch Edition.
On the outside, it looks similar to the standard model, except for the ‘Sporteq’ badge. It has the same LED headlights, C-shaped LED DRLs and two-tone alloy wheels.
The Sporteq gets a black and tan interior and comes with a new dashboard without the central spine. It improves access to the wireless charging pad and USB Type- C ports. Panoramic glass roof, aircraft-inspired roof-mounted controls, thrust-lever-inspired gear lever, rear AC vents, armrests with cup holders and large boot space are also offered.
From variant TWO onwards, all variants feature a 12.3-inch three-screen coast-to-coast display, creating a more immersive and futuristic cockpit. Customers seeking the original race-inspired cockpit with two screens and the signature halo design can opt for the SPORTEQ Freedom Edition.
A 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, Google Gemini integration, ventilated front seats, 7 airbags, level 2 ADAS and a tyre pressure monitoring system are also some of the highlights.
Six TEQ Suites
- TEQ_Talk: Built with Google Gemini, it powers natural interactions through 17 specialised AI agents. It supports over 100 core functions & 48 apps, including voice controls, navigation, music and news.
- TEQ_Play: Includes Karaoke, in-car gaming suite (also in BYOD mode), private audio, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, Milestone, and GrooveMe Party.
- TEQ_Drive: Includes vehicle controls like custom drive mode, drift mode, tribe mode, revive & revive SOS and the Formula E Freedom Edition- exclusive acceleration boost.
- TEQ_Me: Transforms personalisation from a setting into an experience via a user profile with auto-detection.
- TEQ_Secure: Intelligent monitoring features like Secure360 Pro, NFC & digital car key and 3rd Screen Parental Lock.
- TEQ_xting: Customers can create Personalised Tailgate Messaging
The BE 6 SPORTEQ Launch Edition is distinguished by an exclusive Graphite Storm exterior and a full Racing Tan leatherette interior. Meanwhile, the Formula E Freedom Edition comes with an original race-inspired cockpit with two screens and the signature halo design that celebrates Mahindra’s Formula E journey. It offers Acceleration Boost (0-100 km/h in 6.44 sec).
Beyond the existing 59 kWh and 79 kWh batteries, the BE 6 SPORTEQ now also features a 70 kWh battery option that produces 245 ps and 380 Nm of torque, offering a claimed range of 651 km. It supports 7.2kW AC, 11.2kW AC and 160kW DC chargers. With the DC fast charger, a 20-80% top-up can be achieved in a claimed 20 minutes.

With the BE 6 SPORTEQ, Mahindra has also introduced a BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) program, as per which the BE 6 SPORTEQ series starts at Rs 11.45 lakh and the battery at Rs 3.75 per km.
Mahindra has also announced that the features announced on the BE 6 SPORTEQ series will be rolled out to existing BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S owners in phases starting January 2027.
