Kia India teases the launch of an upcoming all-electric model and a hybrid-powered model

Recently, the automaker Kia officially teased two new electrified models for the Indian market: a BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) and an HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle).

The company has not revealed the names of the upcoming models, but as per reports, the models could be the Kia Sorento Hybrid and Kia Syros EV.  These models have been spotted a few times while testing on Indian roads.

Kia Syros EV & Kia Sorento Hybrid: Expected features

Coming to the details, the Kia Syros EV is expected to keep the same boxy design as the regular Syros, but could arrive with minor tweaks (EV badges, a redesigned front and rear bumper, aerodynamic alloy wheels and new colour options). On the inside, the EV model is expected to carry forward most features from the ICE version, though the company may add some EV-specific features. It is likely to utilise the globally sold Hyundai Inster EV’s battery pack.

Meanwhile, the Kia Sorento Hybrid is said to become Kia India’s flagship SUV with an internal combustion engine. It is expected to be available in both six-seat and seven-seat versions. Kia may offer a self-charging hybrid powertrain, a panoramic sunroof, Bose sound system, ventilated seats, multi-zone climate control, electronic parking brake and more.
