Car manufacturer, Citroen has been trying really hard to set its foot in the Indian market and lately, the company has introduced various cars with improved features and new designs in order to attract customers. But it seems like, the efforts need to be increased as the latest November 2024 sales breakup of the company showcased a decline in sales.

First let’s talk about the YoY sales, at the top spot is C3 Aircross of which 201 units were sold last month but the SUV witnessed a 19.28% YoY decline as last year 249 units were sold. At the second spot is C3 which also witnessed a 24.53% YoY decline as last month 200 units were sold while in November 2023, 255 units were sold. The electronic counterpart of C3 is the only one among the top 5 cars that has witnessed YoY growth. eC3 61 units were sold last month while last year only 18 units were sold resulting in 238.89% YoY growth. At the last spot is C5 Aircross which witnessed a 100% YoY decline as 0 units were sold in November 2024.
Now coming to MoM sales, C3 Aircross 103 units were sold last year while this year it increased to 201 units resulting in 95.15% MoM growth. C3 registered a 33.33% MoM sales decline losing 100 units while eC3 also witnessed a 31.46% MoM decline losing 28 units. The most shocking result was for Basalt, as this SUV has been priced aggressively and has also scored 4 stars in the Bharat NCAP rating which led to assumptions that this SUV would top the sales chart but this was not the case at all.
Basalt registered a 78.73% MoM decline as only 47 units were sold this year while last year 221 units were sold. C5 Aircross witnessed a 100% decline in MoM sales also.
In total Citroen sold 509 units last month while in October 2024 the company sold 717 units and in November 2023 it sold 537 units, resulting in a 5.21% YoY decline and a 29.01% MoM decline.
