Yesterday, BMW India officially introduced the X1 Long Wheelbase in the country. The BMW X1 LWB is locally produced at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai.
BMW X1 LWB: Features
The best-in-segment Adaptive LED headlights elevate the X1 LWB’s premium presence while intelligently adapting to changing road conditions, enhancing visibility, safety, and driver confidence at all times. It features a 9 sq ft panoramic glass roof, 18” 838M Bicolour alloys, 225/55/R18 tubeless tyres, and 3D sculpted taillights.
Exterior colour options include: Mineral White Metallic, Night Dusk Blue, Skyscraper Grey Metallic and M Carbon Black Metallic. It measures 4,616mm in length, while the wheelbase has been stretched by 108mm to 2,800mm.
The BMW X1 LWB offers a spacious and thoughtfully curated interior. It comes with Veganza upholstery, a floating armrest design, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a 10.7-inch central information display with touch and voice control, and BMW OS 9. Interior colour options include: Veganza perforated Castaneaa and Veganza perforated Smoke White+ Atlas Grey dual tone.
The rear seats feature a generous recline of up to 28.5 degrees, ample knee space and adjustable seating. It offers 540 litres of boot space, while with the flexible 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats, you can easily expand the boot space up to 1700 litres.
With BMW Digital Key Plus, you can use your smartphone or smartwatch to lock, unlock and even drive the vehicle. Parking Assistant Plus and reversing assistant with 360-degree view simplify the parking experience. It is equipped with a Harman Kardon Sound System with 12 speakers producing 205W of output, and there is also a wireless phone charger.
The BMW 1.5L TwinPower Turbo engine on the BMW X1 LWB delivers 156 hp. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It features comfort suspension, which is tuned for the long wheelbase design. The driving assistant on the X1 LWB combines features like Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection, and Rear Collision Warning.
BMW X1 LWB: Availability
The new BMW X1 Long Wheelbase has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 49.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
