Battery Warranty Extended to 5 Years as Ampere Revamps Nexus Ownership Plans

Ampere Electric has announced a notable update for its flagship electric scooter, the Nexus, with a strong focus on long-term ownership and affordability. The company is now offering an industry-first 5-year or 75,000 km battery warranty, along with attractive financing options, as part of its continued efforts to boost consumer confidence and adoption in the electric two-wheeler space.

This move marks a strategic shift from Ampere, a Greaves Electric Mobility brand, positioning the Nexus not just as a high-performance product but also as a more practical and financially accessible option for Indian families. The financing plan now includes interest rates starting at 6.99% and low down payment options, aiming to lower the entry barrier for new EV buyers.

The Ampere Nexus already holds several distinctions in the Indian EV segment. Touted as the country’s first high-performance family electric scooter, it offers a real-world range of 100–110 km, a top speed of 93 kmph, and fully charges in 3 hours and 22 minutes. It’s powered by a Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery, known for its enhanced safety and longevity.

Earlier this year, the Nexus completed a landmark 10,000+ km Kashmir to Kanyakumari ride, setting four national records in the process—an achievement the brand continues to highlight as a symbol of durability and reliability.

With an ex-showroom price starting at ₹1,14,900, the Nexus now enters a more competitive space, not just with performance on offer but also a reinforced assurance package. The new warranty and finance upgrades are clearly aimed at customers looking for a dependable, long-term EV investment.
