A similar confusion was also recently seen surrounding the Samsung Galaxy M47 5G and its rebranded Galaxy F70 Pro 5G version. Samsung had listed the devices with LPDDR5X RAM, although Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset does not support LPDDR5X memory speeds.

The brand later clarified through the Galaxy F70 Pro 5G microsite that although LPDDR5X memory is integrated into the smartphone, it can only deliver up to LPDDR5-level performance because of the limitations of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor.

It would have been better if the internal storage type of the OnePlus N6x had been clearly disclosed through its official specifications, preventing confusion among potential buyers. Nevertheless, following the response shared by the OnePlus support team, the device is now understood to feature eMMC 5.1-based storage operating in the HS400 mode.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Samsung recently updated its Home Up application with the version number ‘V18.0.00.24’ around the second week of July 2026. Now, the brand has started rolling out another update for the Good Lock module in India and other regions with several bug fixes and improvements.

Read more about the update below.

Samsung Home Up V18.0.00.30 Update

As per the details shared by tipster Tarun Vats, the new Samsung Home Up update carrying the version number ‘V18.0.00.30’ is now available through the Good Lock application in India and other regions.

Speaking about its changelog, the update fixes an issue that caused errors with the DIY Home Screen layout when restoring data through Smart Switch. The behaviour of the DIY arrangement mode has also been improved for a better user experience.

The new version further fixes an issue concerning the display of app shortcuts within the Integrated Panel and refines the background adjustment steps available for the Favourites section. Other bugs have also been fixed based on feedback received from users.

In order to check for this newly released update, users can open the Good Lock application, select the Home Up module, and look for the available update.

The tipster has also shared an APK file for manually installing the latest Home Up version. However, users are advised to proceed with caution while downloading APK files from unofficial sources. It would be safer to wait for the update to become available through Good Lock or the Galaxy Store to avoid possible security and compatibility issues.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Nothing officially started rolling out its stable Nothing OS 4.0 update based on Android 16 on the 21st of November 2025, for the eligible Nothing and CMF smartphones. Now, rumours point out that the brand could announce the rollout of its next major Nothing OS 5.0 update based on Android 17 during the fourth quarter of 2026.

Read more about the update below.

Nothing OS 5.0 Based on Android 17 – Expected Eligible Devices

At present, Nothing has not officially announced the Nothing OS 5.0 update or revealed its rollout timeline and list of eligible devices. However, if the brand follows a similar update schedule as last year, its Android 17-based operating system could probably be released sometime around November 2026.

Based on the software update policies announced for the devices at the time of their respective launches, the following Nothing and CMF smartphones are expected to be eligible for the upcoming update.

Looking into the software support policies of the Nothing Phone (2a) and Phone (2a) Plus, the two devices were launched with Android 14 and were promised three major Android OS updates. This suggests that Nothing OS 5.0 based on Android 17 will likely be their final major operating system update.

It must also be noted that the Nothing Phone (2) and CMF Phone 1 are not included in the above-mentioned list, as Nothing OS 4.0 based on Android 16 was their final promised major operating system update. However, the two devices could continue receiving security patches and maintenance updates as per their respective software support timelines.

Since Nothing has not yet officially announced the update or confirmed the eligible devices, the above-mentioned list must be considered an expected one based on the brand’s existing software support policies. More details concerning its features, rollout timeline, and eligible devices could probably be revealed in the coming months.

Stay tuned for more updates!

If you regularly place orders through Flipkart, the e-commerce platform has now announced a new benefit for its Plus members in partnership with Netflix. Under this benefit, eligible members will be able to receive a Netflix Mobile plan every month at no additional cost.

Read more about the update below.

Flipkart Plus x Netflix – Free Mobile Plan Benefit

As per the details given on the official Flipkart Plus x Netflix FAQ page, active Flipkart Plus members will be able to unlock a complimentary Netflix Mobile plan by completing four eligible orders in a calendar month, placed through Flipkart, Flipkart Minutes, or Flipkart Grocery, with each order of INR 299 minimum value.

However, the orders will only be counted after they have been successfully completed, meaning that they must not be cancelled and their respective return windows must also have ended.

It must also be noted that purchases made under certain categories will not be counted towards this benefit. These include gold and silver coins or bars, infant formula and baby food, baby cereal, cigarettes and tobacco products, Flipkart gift cards, digital products, and Flipkart-branded cartons or packaging boxes purchased by sellers.

Flipkart and Netflix FAQ

Once four eligible orders have been completed within a calendar month, users can visit the Netflix Benefits page by following the below-mentioned path:

Flipkart App > My Account > Plus Page > Netflix Page

From there, users will have to tap on the ‘Claim Now’ option, following which they will be redirected to Netflix, and users can then sign in or create an account using their email address or phone number and complete the OTP verification process to activate the subscription.

The complimentary subscription is limited to the Netflix Mobile plan, which allows streaming on one smartphone or tablet at a time in standard-definition quality. Users will not be able to select the Standard, Premium, or other higher Netflix plans under this offer.

If you use your existing credentials and you have a higher active Netflix subscription, that will be replaced by the Netflix Mobile Plan. So it would be wise to use a different email address or phone number if you do not want to lose your existing plan benefits.

Validity and Monthly Renewal

The Netflix Mobile subscription unlocked through Flipkart will remain valid for 30 days from the date on which the fourth successful order is completed and can also be renewed every month by completing four eligible orders before the current subscription expires. Users are therefore advised to claim the benefit as soon as they complete the required number of orders.

If a member fails to complete the required orders during a particular month, there will be no penalty, and the eligibility process can be started again during the following calendar month.

The Flipkart and Netflix partnership has gone live starting from the 1st of August 2026. However, Flipkart has pointed out that the benefit may not immediately appear for every eligible Plus member and could be made available gradually.

Users who are not currently Flipkart Plus members can become eligible for the membership by completing 15 successful orders within a year.

Stay tuned for more updates!

During the Google I/O 2026 event, the company announced the upcoming release of the Google AI Studio app and pre-registration for this app had already started for both iOS and Android users.

Today, the company has announced it will not launch a standalone Google AI Studio mobile app.

thank you to the ~800,000 of you that pre-ordered our mobile app on iOS and Android — it’s clear that people are interested in building software on the go

instead of asking you to download yet another app we’ve decided to take an entirely different approach: one where apps…

Despite receiving 800,000 pre-orders for this app on iOS and Android, the company has taken this decision, mentioning that they do not want to ask users to download just another app.

Instead, Google is partnering with the Gemini app team to integrate Google AI Studio into the Gemini app on mobile and desktop. The company plans to integrate features so that apps emerge naturally during everyday conversations with Gemini on mobile or desktop.

Looks like Google is aiming at the expansion of Gemini with this new plan that will allow developers to create apps within Gemini itself.

It is also announced that Google will continue investing in the AI Studio web platform, targeting users who focus on advancing from initial ideas and prompts to building production-ready business applications.

Let’s wait to hear the announcement of Google AI Studio integration in the Gemini mobile and desktop apps.

Stay tuned with The Tech Outlook for the latest tech updates!

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 – App Screen Zoom Feature

As per a video shared by X user @MHD4tech, the Galaxy Z Fold 8’s new ‘App screen zoom’ feature allows users to increase or decrease the size of content displayed within supported applications.

For instance, reducing the screen zoom level for the YouTube application allows the Galaxy Z Fold 8 to display three video recommendations instead of only two, thereby making better use of its larger foldable display.

The feature offers five different screen zoom levels, which include ‘Smallest’, ‘Small’, ‘Medium’, ‘Large’, and ‘Largest’. Users can select a different zoom level for each supported application according to how much content they want to be displayed on the screen.

To access this feature on the Galaxy Z Fold 8, users will have to follow the below-mentioned path:

Settings > Advanced features > Labs > App screen zoom

It must be noted that the feature is currently placed under Samsung’s Labs section, suggesting that it is still experimental. At present, it is also limited to the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 and is reportedly not available on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra or Galaxy Z Flip 8, despite both devices running One UI 9 based on Android 17.

Samsung has not yet confirmed whether the App screen zoom feature will be extended to other Galaxy smartphones and tablets with future One UI 9 updates. However, more supported devices could probably be added in the coming months.

Stay tuned for more updates!

In recent years, the smartphone industry has seen various innovations being introduced. From smartphones to tri-fold smartphones, a lot has changed lately, while manufacturers are continuously pushing themselves to introduce new technologies and innovations for consumers.

Well, this time Tecno has come up with a new concept for smartphones. We have all seen smartphones getting introduced with ultra-thin bezels in the market, but what if you get to use a bezelless display?

Today, Tecno has officially teased its next-gen bezelless concept phone that will be showcased at IFA 2026 in September.

A true 0mm screen bezel that pushes beyond visual boundaries. Meet the TECNO Next-Gen Bezelless Concept Phone.

The above video showcases the device with a 0mm screen bezel. It is said that the 0mm bezels were achieved through “advanced internal stacking, new screen packaging techniques, and structural re-engineering.”

In the teaser video, it can be seen that the concept phone features an edge-to-edge display offering an immersive experience with no visible borders around the screen. The device retains a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Other hardware details are still under wraps.

For now, this is just a concept device that will be showcased in September, and if things go well, then we may see this concept being used in future smartphones. Although nothing is confirmed yet.

Stay tuned for all the latest tech updates!
