A video of a car driving through the forest fire in the central Portugal has went viral

A video has been went viral on social media in which a car drives through the forest fire in the central Portugal, revealing the huge wildfire across the country.

As per the weather report, Portugal has been on alert for wildfires for several days this month. Eight of the 18 counties of Portugal has been under red alert from Thursday, due to the extreme hot weather in the country. According to the national meteorological institute, IPMA, more than a hundred of municipalities in Portugal are in a serious danger of rural wildfire. Over 2,000 firefighters were battling the major fires across the country.

Consequently, the districts of Braga, Vila Real, Bragança, Viseu, Guarda, Castelo Portalegre and others were under red alert from Thursday.

Earlier, in 2017, same devastating wildfire occurred in Portugal which took lives of more than 100 people. Portuguese officials dispatched around 1,700 firefighters nationwide for battling with the devastating wildfire.

The IPMA determines the fire danger with the five levels, ranging from low to maximum. The weather is been calculated from the region’s air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and the amount of rainfall in the last 24 hours.
